Ardsley's past is rich in history. In 1781, this village was the campsite for both General Washington and Count de Rochambeau, the commander of the French Army who helped the colonists in the American Revolution. Today, Ardsley is a small, yet bustling community village. It is in fact, Westchester's third smallest municipality; only Elmsford and Buchanan have smaller populations. Ardsley is a suburban community. However, a small number of retail businesses and research facilities provide support for the school tax base. Ardsley's location affords ready access to the New York State Thruway, the Saw Mill River Parkway, Route 9A and the Sprainbrook Parkway. Ardsley offers a sense of strong community and is a participating member of the shared Quad Village community services. Official Ardsley Web Page
